The rough, red and eroded mountains all around, the surrounding old Berber Kasbahs, the flow of the M’Goun River and even the small irrigated agricultural patches along it, all of this turns the Valley of the Roses into one big optical enchantment.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Palm-trees, fig-trees, high budding red oleanders, tender field-poppies and hundreds of thousands of pink roses set the riverbank flourishing, most of all after the rainy season that ends in April.
